Afro-kun

(I'm not even sure if this is a reference.) {C}In episode 10, there's a scene where Bossun, Himeko and Switch wear afros. Switch's afro is all messed up, and make him looks like Afro-kun from "Sexy Commando Gaiden: Sugoi Yo! Masaru-san" (by Kyousuke Usuta, author of "Pyuu to Fuku! Jaguar"). {C}Image: {C}http://www.citymanga.com/files/images/sexy_commando_gaiden_sugoiyo_masaru-san/50/02-03.jpg {C}(Afro-kun is obviously the guy with ripped wig.)

Re: Afro-kun

Thank you. Sorry for the late reply, I'm the new Admin. You may want to add the image and the Sket Dance image below the gallery in addition to your statement.

I will add it later or you can do it yourself because I got class in 10 minutes.

Steins;Gate Reference

There was a reference of Steins;Gate's character Mayuri Shiina's famous 'tuturu' in the episode 'Spirit Dance' (Episode 26), a crossover with Gintama. Switch talks about one of his crazy contraptions having a time machine (which is the main plot of Steins;Gate) function and then immediately afterwards says 'tuturu' at the time 16:19 (when they go back to the first episode). A lot of people have catched this. Please add it in the references :)

Glass Mask Reference

In Episode 53, in the beginning (time 00:26), Roman criticizes Fumi for her latest storyboard, and looks like Chigusa Tsukikage while doing so. Tsukikage was known for being very critical to her students Ayumi and Maya, and Roman is harsh with Fumi even though her storyboard was probably great. References to Sket Dance

I was thinking if it would be useful to have a tab (or an article) dedicated to references to Sket Dance from other media. For exemple, in the 69th chapter of Beelzebub (the chapter about the school festival), there are two guys cosplaying as Bossun and Switch (made even funnier when you think that Bossun said that Himeko was looking like Hilda in the Happy Rebirthday arc). Also, in the 4th chapter of Mayoi Neko Overrun there's a flashback scene where the main characters are trying to come up with a name for their club, and "Sket Dan" is one of the suggested names. And in the 286th chapter of Gintama, Gin-san's balls are called Sasuke and Bossun, and they fight each other (it's hard to explain, really).

How about it? Probably there are even more references out there that I don't know. Would the 185th chapter of Sket Dance itself count, since they make references to the guy with sideburns who appear in the first anime opening? I'd like to know what do you guys think. Re: References to Sket Dance

That sounds like a great idea. Go for it.

Kitsune Miku

There was a reference to Hatsune Miku in chapter 195. I don't know if it fits on "Games", "Music" or "Miscellany", since Vocaloid is a software and Hatsune Miku is well-known as a (virtual) singer.

(BTW, I added the reference to Lupin III, I just forgot to login.) RocketWobbuffet 02:16, May 30, 2012 (UTC)

Awesome job, RocketWobbuffet!

"Operation Love Potion"

Guys, isn't the movie that Remi and Mr. Chuma watch actually Winter Sonata? I haven't watched the series, so I don't know about its plot, but the characters seem very much similar to the characters of WS! Here's a picture: [1] Ryoga (talk) 12:27, July 1, 2013 (UTC)

Sure, put it up with the two images for comparison. I let you post a mini gallery for the reference. I'll find the episode and upload the snapshot for you, so you can post the images on the pop culture page. Go ahead and write the reference on the pop culture page.

Taka shichea 20:48, July 1, 2013 (UTC)

Here is your image comparison. I suggest making a comparison gallery on a separate page similar to the episode screenshot page. Thank you for uploading the Winter Sonata image. Sorry for the wait. Taka shichea 22:19, July 8, 2013 (UTC)

Hmm, what should be the page's title? Should I create a subpage for Pop Culture? Ryoga (talk) 11:21, July 9, 2013 (UTC)
How about Pop Culture Comparison Scenes? Taka shichea 05:30, July 10, 2013 (UTC)
