Sawako Hirabayashi (平林 佐和子, Hirabayashi Sawako), who hails from the Tokyo metropolitan area, is the writer of the two Sket Dance novels. She is affiliated with the company Brother Noppo, and her debut work was the 2007 The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi PSP game.
