Kanegi (金城) is an English teacher at Kaimei High School and the faculty adviser for the softball team.

Appearance

Kanegi keeps his hair spiked back in a similar style to Phoenix Wright. He wears large round glasses and the look of his eyebrows makes him seem perpetually angry. He is almost always seen wearing a suit and tie.
Personality Edit
Kanegi dislikes the Sket Dan, believing the club to be pointless. His sentences are often marked with interjected English words/phrases, and he is known to babble.

Ape EscapeEdit
Upon hearing a ruckus coming from the Sket Dan clubroom and discovering that they are looking after a monkey, he scolds them and makes derisive comments about the club. On his way out, Himeko mentions that the members of the softball team have been calling Kanegi's throwing style "girly", which irritates him. Later, while cleaning up a toppled basket of softballs, he tries to prove the students wrong by throwing one. Unfortunately, it turns out to be a sphere of blasting powder Chū-san had made, and Kanegi is injured in the resulting blast which destroys a storehouse for gym equipment.
